This is an upcoming collaborative writing project with indigenous activists in Jharkhand. It seeks to challenge the epistemological privilege that academics and scholars hold over processes of knowledge production.
WRiting History from an Indigenous Standpoint: From the epistemologies of the Adivasis
In this forthcoming project, we seek to re-write narratives about the past, so as to present perspectives from the vantage point of local communities. This will initially be based in the Mahuadanr block of Latehar district, Jharkhand and will focus on the Oraon Adivasis.
